How Does Infolinks Work?

As said in the title, Infolinks is a PPC (Pay Per Click) ad network which publishers can use to generate revenue by inserting inText, inTag, InFrame and inFold ads in their websites/blogs, This is something similar to Google Adsense, but works a little different. The publisher account is free and everyone with a website/blog can use Infolinks for making money online. The more traffic a website/blog is receiving, the more will be earning with Infolinks.

Which kind of Ads infolinks provides?

Initially, Infolinks used to provide only inText ads which meant, the ads would appear in a targeted keyword or text, so hovering that text/keyword would produce a pop up which hold an ad. After that, it introduced the inTag ad unite which increased the publishers’ revenue, but the more important unit was the inFrame one which is a kind of vertical banner same like we see in Google Adsense. But few months back, They introduced the last popular unit called “inFold” which has increased the publishers revenue by 180% “a recent case study says”.
So here is the list of four Ad types Infolinks offers currently:
  1. inText Ads
  2. inTag Ads
  3. inFrame Ads
  4. inFold Ads
And below are the screenshots for each unit:
The inText Ads look like this

  2. Setting up your account
  3. How to integrate ads in Website
  4. Control live Infolinks Ads from your Account

Infolinks and It's Ad products

The network is perfect for both advertisers and publishers. Webmasters and owner can easily monetize their website with infolinks without disturbing their site design and layout. The network offers 4 typs of ads, intext, intag, inframe and insearch. You can easily make a good amount of money by using these 4 types of ad products. The network is working on it's own algorithm which is no doubt a fast algorithm, you can check your reports and other details like maintaining your ads in just seconds. Infolinks is doing the great job for both advertisers and publishers.

InFrame Advertisements

Inframe ads are good to make money from your website's free space without any disturbance. Inframe ads are vertical banner ads which are not scrollable this means that the ads will be appeared for always in front of your visitors. The ads will be shown in left and right side of your website, this ads will be working on InfoLinks algorithm through which the ads only show on free space. The algorithm resizes the ad size according to the free space in sides of website. Here is an example.

InSearch Advertisements

InSearch ads can give a great amount of money if you have organic traffic. This ad works when a users comes from any search engine with a specific keywords. So when a visitor find your site with a keyword on search engine and then he enters in your website then infolinks will show ads in a box at the bottom of your site related with the visitor's keyword. See an example below.

InTag Advertisements

You may have seen adsense' text ad unit on many websites which only displays in a one line with specific keywords related with the site content. Infolinks also offers intag ads which is similar to adsense text ad unit, and you can earn  good money with it. Intag ads can be shown in 1 or 2 lines, it is in your hand. The ad will be displayed with the keywords related with your content where the ad will appear. Another Example

InText Advertisements

This is my favorite, these ads appear in your website contents. Infolinks algorithm scans your website and find out some highly optimize keywords in your content and then replace them with their advertisers keywords, with an hover effect ad. When Infolinks find an keyword in your content then it decorates the keyword with color and a double line bottom border. Here is it's example.

So, the above information is related with Infolinks and it's ads products. As you can see that it's a series post, so if you really want to use this network with correct method then please subscribe this blog with your email and also join us on different social networks in order to be updated with us. Can you still make money with AdSense?

Can you still make money with AdSense?

Can you still make money with AdSense?
AdSense is perhaps the most popular way to make money online but is it for real? Can you still make money with AdSense? Can you make a living out of AdSense?  I will try and give you honest answers based on my experiences as an AdSense user but also examples from successful websites that are using AdSense.

What is Google AdSense?

The majority of Internet users are probably aware of Google AdSense but for the sake of keeping beginners up-to-date here is a quick overview about the program and major benefits:
  • It is own by Google
  • It’s a major source of income for Google (On 2012 Q3 earnings from AdSense was $3.13 billion which represents around 27% of Google’s revenue)
  • It is free for publishers
  • Advertisers use the Adwords program to advertise their products or services on AdSense websites. They only pay when someone clicks on their ads (PPC – Pay per click)
  • Publishers receive 68% of the revenue and Google 32%. For example if an advertiser pays $1 for a click then 68 cents will go to the publisher and 32 cents to Google.
  • The cost per click calculation is based on an auction type system
  • It is very easy to use
  • It is the most reliable advertising platform on the Internet  today and can generate the most revenue for publishers (compared to other similar PPC systems)
  • AdSense besides content web sites is also available for games, videos, mobiles and search products.
You can find out more details about Google AdSense in the AdSense Help Center.

What do you need to make money with AdSense?

So, AdSense is free, easy to use, you get 68% of the revenue – what else do you need to make money with AdSense?
You need a content rich website
AdSense loves content rich websites. Content can be of any kind (including text, images, videos), provided that it does not violate the AdSense content policies.
It is suggested though to have text on the pages as well so that the AdSense crawler can understand better what the website is about. AdSense is more suitable for websites that publish articles, case studies, how-to guides (like this one), but there are also success stories of other types of websites as well.
You need a high quality website
It’s not enough to publish content that does not violate AdSense content policies but you also need to provide for high quality content on a high quality web site. Google is liable to advertisers for the money the pay so they don’t want their ads to appear on low quality websites. In the past this was possible but the last couple of years they have more strict policies on the type of websites you can run AdSense.
You need a LOT of traffic
AdSense is a good way to make money online and it is perhaps the easiest method provided that you have a good amount of quality traffic coming to your website. I cannot give you an exact number because the amount of money you can make depends on the earnings per click (EPC) and click through rate (CTR), but I don’t usually advice my clients to run AdSense on websites that have less than 300-400 unique visits per day.
In general though, the more targeted traffic you have, the more money you can make with AdSense.
You need to target the right keywords
If you target the right keywords in your content then you can make more money with AdSense or with any other advertising platform. What are the right keywords? Keywords that are: (1) used by advertisers to promote their products so the competition is greater and (2) action keywords. Action keywords are more effective since the users are more likely to ‘take action’ i.e. convert after they click.
Let’s look at the following example: Assume that you have 2 websites in the weight loss niche that are running AdSense. Both websites receive the same amount of organic traffic and they have the ads in the same positions. The first one is getting visitors searching for: ‘weight loss tips’, ‘how to lose weight’, ‘lose belly fat’ and the other one is getting traffic from keywords like: ‘why drinking water is important’, ‘what to eat after dinner’, ‘how many meals to eat per day’.
The first website is likely to make more money with AdSense because more advertisers are interested for those keywords so the number of available relevant ads will be greater. Users are also likely to click the ads more often since users looking for tips or solutions to their problem are more likely to click on a relevant ad than users who are searching for general information.
This is also the reason why organic traffic is considered to be more valuable than any other form of traffic i.e. because it is highly targeted and converts better.
You need to fully comply with AdSense policies
As I said above AdSense represents 1/3 of Google’s revenue so they take the whole program very seriously. While it is relatively easy for everyone to get an AdSense account, if you don’t play by their rules 100% you risk losing your account.
Even if you are an existing or new AdSense publisher make sure that you read their policies before implementing AdSense on your website. Remove from your mind any ideas for tricking the system and always remember that they have hired the best people to make sure that nobody will be able to bypass their rules and policies.
You need to have a website with a purpose and not a MFA (made for AdSense) website
While AdSense is a great way to monetize a website, websites that are made for the sole purpose of running AdSense ads are not favorable by Google. I have mentioned this in a previous post: 5 reasons you are not making money online and what is important to understand is that you website or blog needs to have a clear purpose which goes beyond making money with AdSense.
Yes, you can use AdSense to make money from an established blog that has lots of traffic and visitors; you can use AdSense to make some extra money from you website while selling your own products and services as well, but it’s not a very good idea to make a blog and start publishing mediocre content for the sole purpose of getting organic visits and then run AdSense to make money. In the past this model may have worked, but not anymore.

Examples of websites making money with AdSense

To be more precise let me give you a couple of examples from websites that make money with AdSense. While reading the examples try to relate these websites with what I have explained above and try to understand how they have applied in practice all the guidelines.
Example 1: Digital Photography School
DPS is owned by Darren Rowse, the all famous Australian problogger. Darren was among the first people who managed to make a living online and if you read his story and income spread, AdSense played a very important role especially in the beginning.  Let’s see how he is utilizing AdSense on DPS.

    BidVertiser: Legit or Scam?

It is useless to read this review if BidVertiser turns out to be a scam. So first let us check out: Is BidVertiser a scam?
The answers is: No, it is not a Scam. It is a Legit site paying their tens of thousands of publishers in time since 2003.
Here is quick review which proves it to be legit:
    • It is living in the internet for 11 years now (as of 2014). No scam sites lives for so much of time.
    • Its Alexa Rank is around 1000. It indicates that it is among the top 1000 websites of the world.

    What is BidVertiser?

Since now we know that BidVertiser is not a Scam, I hope you are interested to know more about it. So let's go:
BidVertiser is a unique type of PPC (Pay Per Click) network which pays for every visitor that clicks on an advertisement placed on your website or blog and an extra revenue if the click turns into a conversion.
Conversion can be filling up of a form, signing up to a website, buying a product etc.
So there is always a dual chance to make money: one from clicks and second from conversions.
Keep on reading to explore more!

    How it Works?

Here is the working of BidVertiser which is again somewhat unique!
    1. Advertisers set Bids for their Ads to be displayed in websites or blogs of some specific category or niche.
    2. BidVertiser checks the Publisher’s site’s (website or blog) category and displays the highest bidders on his/her site.
    3. When visitors click ads, publishers earn money. They make extra revenue if a click turns into conversion.
    4. Publishers get paid at the end of the month!
Note: Publishers will see a constant improvement in their bidding over time, as both their visitors and BidVertiser’s advertisers will be exposed to the opportunity of bidding against each other on publisher’s ad space.

    Pros and Cons

    BidVertiser Review: Pros and Cons
    BidVertiser Review: Pros and Cons

    Pros

    1. Signing Up is Easy and Fast. It seems there is no approval process. Your site will get accepted as soon as you will submit it. At the end I have explained “How to Sign Up for BidVertiser?” and start running their ads.
    2. Various ways to make money: Pay Per Click Ads, Conversions, Toolbar, XML Feeds, Pop Unders and Slider Ads. Right combination of these ways can make increase your income by 2X to 5X (I have myself experienced it).
    3. Various Ad Formats: Banners, Skyscrapers, Inline Ads, Rectangles and Mobile Ads.
    4. Ads can be customized to fit the look of your website or blog, by altering the fonts, colors, layout and size.
    5. They provide 100% fill rate and pays for worldwide traffic from almost any country.
    6. Subdomains are also accepted. Subdomains include yourdomainname.blogspot.com yourdomainname.wordpress.com, even warez sites are accepted.
    7. It has also a referral program from which money can be made referring Advertisers and Publishers to BidVertiser.
    8. Minimum Payout is only $10.00 for Paypal. If your account's balance did not reach minimum payout at month end, the balance will be carried over into the next month and paid out once you have earned the minimum payout or more.

    Cons

    1. Design of website is not attractive. This is one of the reasons that only few people Sign Up to BidVertiser.
    2. Initially Earning is low due to less exposure of your website to the advertisers.
    3. There are fluctuations in daily earnings. You may earn one day $12 but at the very next day only $3.
    4. Ads are displayed according to category and may not be relevant if your niche is small.
    5. It may sometime appear that BidVertiser is not counting some the clicks you get; it is because of their click protection algorithm and fraud detection team which do not count repeated clicks on same ad, invalid or fraud clicks. This is done to ensure that advertisers pay only for real and valid clicks.
    6. Quality of ads is not very good.

My Earnings and How much will you earn?

I am quite satisfied with what I earn from BidVertiser. Here is the screenshot of my earnings:
    BidVertiser Earnings Screenshot June 2013
    BidVertiser Earnings Screenshot June 2013

    BidVertiser Earnings Screenshot July 2013
    BidVertiser Earnings Screenshot July 2013
Note: There is increase in my earnings from June to July even after having less page impressions and clicks in July. This is the reason I suggest everybody to stick to BidVertiser to see constant improvement in their earnings over time.

Are you tensed that earnings are too low (compared to Adsense, because it is higher than other ad networks)? Then you should know the reasons behind it.
    1. The above earnings are made from my blog which was based on Games (generally the lowest paying niche).
    2. 85% of my visitors were from India, Pakistan and Indonesia which are again considered as low paying countries.
So it all depends on your niche and country your site is targeted. You may earn 10 to 20 times more from the same page impressions if your niche is high paying and country targeted is USA, UK and Australia.
    What are Revenue Points?
Revenue Points or Click Points are a joint measurement of your traffic’s potential to drive conversions to advertisers and additional revenue for you, combined from various campaigns served (CPC/CPM/CPA) and optimized to maximize your revenue. Revenue points are partially updated on real time but are fully updated along with Daily Revenue Update.

    BidVertiser Vs Adsense

Every network has its ups and downs; it’s true for Adsnese and BidVertiser also. Let’s see comparison between BidVertiser and Adsense:

    Sign Up Process and Approval

BidVertiser: Sign Up process is just as easy as 1 2 3…No Minimum Age requirement. There is No Approval Process. Any website/blog/subdomain/warez site accepted, even newest blogs/sites are accepted.
Adsense: You must be at least 18 years to apply; if you are not, use your parent’s account. Applying is easy but approval is the hardest. Some of the times even professional sites are not accepted.

Fill Rate, Quality and Type of Ads

Fill Rate = (Number of times ads was shown / Total number of page impressions) × 100
BidVertiser: Fill rate is approximately 100%. Quality of ads is not very good. However, it has many ad types which is one of the reason I like it.
Adsnese: Fill rate is 100% in Adsense also. Ads are of best quality. It supports text and contextual ads related to content of site.

    Pay Per Click and Earnings

BidVertiser: Pay Per Click is good but not the best. In some niches it pays really good PPC but some of the time it pays less. Earnings from BidVertiser are decent which is proved from $288.83 that BidVertiser sent me.
Adsense: Pay Per Click is the best, no question about it. PPC is good in most of the niches. You can expect more earnings from Adsense than BidVertiser.

    Minimum Payout and Payment Methods

BidVertiser: Minimum payout is only $10. Payment methods are Paypal, Check, Western Union and Wire Transfer.
Adsense: Minimum Payout is $100. Payment method is Check only.

    BidVertiser as an Adsense Alternative

    BidVertiser as an Adsense Alternative
    BidVertiser as an Adsense Alternative

I guess, more than half of you who are reading this post are not getting approval for Adsense or you are banned from Adsense. The previous statement would have been scary if there would have only Adsense as an Ad Network, but it’s not the case. In fact there are hundreds of Ad network other than Adsense to monetize your site and one of them is BidVertiser.
Let’s see why BidVertiser can act as a good Adsense Alternative:
    • It is quite similar to Adsnese as it provides text and PPC ads. The only difference is that Adsnese displays ads according to content while BidVertiser displays according to category.
    • Its Pay Per Click is lower than Adsense but higher than most of the other networks out there.
    • Similar to Adsnese you can customize the look of the ads.
    • It has 100% fill rate and pays for traffic from any country.

Should you Sign Up for BidVertiser?

    Should you choose BidVertiser?
    Should you choose BidVertiser?

Read the whole review but still confused if you should choose BidVertiser? Then here is help for you…
You should absolutely choose BidVertiser if
    1. You are banned from Adsense or not getting approval for Adsense
    2. You have a new blog
    3. You have your site hosted at subdomain like yoursite.blogspot.com or yoursite.wordpress.com etc
    4. You have warez site.
    5. You are trying to make money from your blog but other networks are not giving good results.
    6. You are experimenting with various ad networks. I Sign Up to various networks just to test. I love doing it.
    7. You want to use additional money generating source for your site.
You should not go for Bidvertiser if
    1. You are approved for Adsense. Though you can use Adsense and Bidvertiser together if Bidvertiser's ads does not look similar to Adsense ads, I recommend to optimize you Adsnese ads instead of adding Bidvertiser ads.
    2. You are very professional. Yes, this point is important, professional here means you care of your visitors very much. It is because some of the time Bidvertiser shows non related ads which may be irritating to your visitors.

How to Make Money from BidVertiser?

Since you have placed ads on your website/blog, you must be curious to know how can you make good money from BidVertiser? Here are few tips that will really help:
    1. Use Rectangle or Banner Ads in between the post. Best places are just below the Post Title or at the end of the post or at both the places.
    2. Also try to place your ads above the fold. Above the fold is place that is visible to your visitor without scrolling down your website. But please do not fill lot of ads there; it will discourage your visitors.
    3. Use their ToolBar and XML feeds ads. I’m not using them now but they can make you some extra money.
    4. If your site is professional, I recommend you not to use their slider or pop under ads. But if it is not the case you may use one of them. They can boost our earnings.
    5. Don’t use more than three ads. Research shows that users do not click on ads if they see more number of ads filled in website/blog.  So, fewer ads can eventually lead to more money.
    6. Experiment your ad positions: Every time my #1 tip may not work. It all depends on the site design and niche. So if one ad position does not work, do experimentation. You may be surprised from the results.
    7. Work on your blog (Most Important): add more content, do SEO, design you blog beautifully and try to increase your visitors. Because more the visitors more will be the clicks and finally you will be making more money.
    8. Be Patient: It is the most important thing, especially in case of BidVertiser. If you would be patient with BidVertiser, it will reward you by giving higher PPC rates and exposure to better advertisers.
    9. Don’t Give Up: You may get depressed some of the time when you struggle to make money. But giving up is not the solution. Try out the above tips more seriously especially #7. Working on your blog and content can do a miracle.

    Conclusion

It was a long review, with much information, isn't it? Now we have reached the conclusion. So in all Bidvertiser a good legit ad network from which you can make money. They provide variety of ad formats with have good payment methods as well. Also minimum payout is only $10 from paypal. It is a good adsense alternative and also good for new blogs and websites. So, what are you waiting for?

Chitika – A Good Way To Make Money With Your Blog?

Chitika – A Good Way To Make Money With Your Blog?

Get Chitika Premium I recently got an email from the folks at Chitika which informed me that I could make referral commissions on anybody I refer to Chitika for a full 15 months. They even provided me a shortcut link to send my referral link out to Twitter. But, is Chitika really any good? I have been using Chitika for some time over on PCMech.com. I do not put very much into the program and it has been very much one of my minority income streams. But, even without putting much into it, I have been making a couple hundred dollars per month with it. It might not be much, but considering how little “face time” it gets with my readers, I’m not complaining. And surely, if I took the time to optimize it, I could probably increase my monthly income fairly easily through Chitika.
If you’re not familiar, Chitika is a company which delivers search-targeted ads. The ads are completely compatible with Google Adsense and does not compete, so you don’t have to worry about running Chitika and Adsense on the same pages. Whenever a user clicks into your site via a search engine, Chitika will deliver that user a targeted ad block based on the keywords used to find your website. So, it is super-well targeted. And as of just a few days ago, they are no longer auditing traffic using these types of ads. The auditing process has been a source of frustration for publishers because it usually means your actual monthly income ends up being less than what your stats showed.
This is the kind of ad I am running on PCMech, which means the ads are only visible when the site is entered from a search engine. If you go directly to the site or click in from another site, you will see no ad from Chitika.
These ads have been working extremely well for Chitika, so much so that it appears as if they are now making this ad type their priority. When you log in as a publisher, this is the kind of ad you will see first. Only when you click the link for other ad types will you see the other options, including Lynx (contextual ads ala Kontera), whitespace ads (which use your site’s white space on larger screen resolutions), the eMiniMall and the Multiple Product Unit (or MPU). Those last two are PPC ads which lead primarily to products.
The other ad types they’ve offered have been pretty disappointing in the past and this is the primary reason Chitika hasn’t gotten much play on PCMech.com. The ads they’ve given were poorly targeted and generated very little revenue. So, I’m not surprised at all that their Premium search-targeted ads are working so well. They alleviate the problem of poor targeting. With the new ad types, my CTR climbed dramatically and my income climbed to the point that it is.
Chitika works best when (1) you have a lot of incoming traffic from search engines, and/or (2) you have a product oriented website which people come to when looking for particular kinds of products (i.e. a review site). Additionally, you can make money by referring people to Chitika. That won’t work for everybody, but for some it can.
So, if you’re running a site and want to try making some extra month with it, I would recommend Chitika. I’m still not making enough from Chitika to justify replacing any of my other ad sources with Chitika, but specifically targeting my search traffic makes a lot of sense and it does provide a little boost to my income. If you run a review site, you could probably make a killing with Chitika. As anybody in this business will tell you, you want a bunch of different income streams and, for me, Chitika is one of them.

What's Infolinks & How to Make Money with it?

demo-bubbleEvery day, thousands of Google Adsense accounts are being banned or disapproved due to something wrong with website or some violations of policy defined by Google. Actually, this is a very bad idea to crying or bashing Google in different online forums (Totally Wastage of Time). Instead of Blaming, You should stand up, and act like professionals! How to Make Money Online

    How to Make Money Online

Although the global market has not yet reached “Jetson” caliber with people flying to the office in compact spaceships, it has evolved to allow workers to never have leave the comfort of their own computer. Below you’ll find a variety of ways to make money online as well as general advice for anyone who wants to succeed in the online world.

Method 1 of 5: Quick Ways to Make Money Online

    1. Make Money Online Step 1.jpg
      1
Flip domain names. Domain names are valuable internet real estate and some people actually make a nice living off of buying and selling them. One strategy is to use Google Adwords to find keywords that are trending and use that information to buy domain names that you think may soon be in demand. However, since short, snappy, or straightforward domain names have already been mostly snatched up, you can also get lucky buying domain names that are random acronyms, as you never know when a person or company with those exact initials will decide to set up a website. (CPC.com, for example, sold for over $200,000 when Contract Pharmaceutical Corporation decided to go online.[1] Not bad for three letters.) For more advice, read How to Buy a Cheap Domain Name.
    2. Make Money Online Step 2.jpg
      2
Do online surveys. Online surveys won’t earn you much apiece, but they don’t eat up much time either and can add up when you need cash in a pinch. Read How to Make Money with Free Online Surveys for more advice.
    3. Make Money Online Step 3.jpg
      3
Transcribe audio. Websites are getting better and better about providing written transcripts for the hearing impaired, meaning that transcriber jobs pop up fairly regularly. Transcribing is generally low paying but is also easy, fast, and doesn’t require much commitment. Check eLance or oDesk for current transcription postings.
    4. Make Money Online Step 4.jpg
      4
Edit audio. If you have and know how to use sound-editing software, you can clean up webcasts and interviews before they go online. Again, look at a site like eLance or oDesk for opportunities.
    5. Make Money Online Step 5.jpg
      5
Enter contests. Since you won’t get paid unless your entry wins, search for a wide range of free contests in a field where you’re already have a lot of possible entries (ex. photos, logo-making, background design) and submit your work to as many places as will have you. It might take a day to get through all of them, but even a few small successes (or, preferably, a great big one) will make up for it. The experience might even steer you in a new creative direction.

Method 2 of 5: Make Money through Online Marketing

    1. Make Money Online Step 6.jpg
      1
Become an affiliate marketer. This is a great way to make money for promoting someone else’s products or services without having to carry any inventory. Affiliate advertisements are usually incorporated into your website/blog/page via linked articles (great when your content is strong and compelling, but must be done carefully to avoid looking spammy), product-placement videos (great if you’re funny or have performance talent), or, less and less commonly, banner ads (pretty ineffective, as most people avoid these like the plague). If necessary, you can also become an affiliate marketer without a website (by posting videos on YouTube containing links to the product, for example). Check out a site like Commission Junction for possible products and services.
      • If you have a lot of traffic, you might want to do cost-per-click advertising, which doesn’t earn you much per click but banks on the fact that the sheer number of visitors will build your revenue.
      • If you have very strong content, you might want to do cost-per-acquisition advertising, which makes you a decent commission (either a fixed amount or a commission, depending on what you’ve pre-agreed to) every time someone on your site makes a purchase with your affiliate company.
    2. Make Money Online Step 7.jpg
      2
Become an online mystery shopper. Most people have heard of mystery shoppers in the real world, but with the shift to virtual business, it’s becoming more and more common to send mystery shoppers online-hunting. If you’re just starting out, be prepared to front the cost of your purchases, as your reimbursement will depend on whether or not you are a capable mystery shopper.

    1. Make Money Online Step 8.jpg
      3
Do webinar marketing. This is simply seminar marketing done online – except that it’s much cheaper than doing actual seminars and doesn’t require repeat performances. If you’re an authority on a subject that others would be willing to pay to learn more about, record yourself giving a talk about it in a professional location (traditionally a conference room, though this may change depending on your subject), post it on your website, and advertise.
    2. Make Money Online Step 9.jpg
      4
Refer other professionals for jobs. If you know somebody whose skill and work ethic you’re willing to stand behind, consider referring them to a prospective employer. If that person gets hired, you stand to make anywhere between fifty and a few thousand dollars depending on the position. Check out a site like ReferEarns or WhoDoYouKnowForDough for more information.

Method 3 of 5: Make Money through Online Content

    1. Make Money Online Step 10.jpg
      1
Sell your music. A few years ago, Radiohead made headlines by selling its latest album via its own website and raking in the dough – for donations, no less. Though your act might not have Radiohead status (yet), many small, independent, and even big-name acts have followed suit: as it turns out, a handful of sales with no middleman adds up to a lot more than what most artists end up with once the record industry has gotten its “dues.”
    2. Make Money Online Step 11.jpg
      2
Become a freelance designer. Create a website showcasing your portfolio and build a client list by finding work in the online classifieds. Though it takes more time to get established doing business this way, you can set your own prices and won’t have to share your profits with the graphic design house.
    3. Make Money Online Step 12.jpg
      3
Sell stock photos. This is a good way to make money while pursuing a fun hobby. Since people search for stock photos by keyword, your work will be on the same playing field as everyone else’s, meaning you should submit any photo you think is decent. Once it has posted, your work is done, and while you won’t generally make much per sale, having a good number of photos can mean accumulating a nice monthly side income with virtually no upkeep. iStockphoto, ShutterStock, and Fotolia are a few good places to shop around.
    4. Make Money Online Step 13.jpg
      4
Sell an ebook. eBooks are not for everyone, but if you’ve ever found an innovative solution to a desperate situation and wished you could have simply paid someone to give you the answer sooner, it’s likely there’s a market out there for an ebook on the subject. Shop around to see what else is available and look for people posting in forums with similar issues. Don’t waste your time writing an ebook about something someone can readily find answers to; it’s something you want to reserve for people who are at their wit’s end.
    5. Make Money Online Step 14.jpg
      5
Sell an app. In a multi-million-person marketplace, $1 or 2 per sale can go a long way. If you have a great concept but no programming know-how, it might even be worth it to hire a programmer. Just make sure you shop around for similar ideas, find ways to one-up your competition, and comply with the rules of the company on whose devices you’d sell the apps.
    6. Make Money Online Step 15.jpg
      6
Sell articles. Lots of small businesses, websites, and marketers need good written content and smooth keyword integration to help them get more traffic. Though you won’t make much to start with, most articles will only be 200 to 300 words, which are a snap to crank out. As you prove yourself to be capable, you can start charging more for your services. If you’re a skilled writer, you might even try submitting your work to formal publications.

Method 4 of 5: Make Money through Online Sales

    1. Make Money Online Step 16.jpg
      1
Create an online store. Selling online is especially useful if you have a niche item that can’t attract enough business to survive in a physical location, but of course online stores for everyday items aren’t going anywhere, either. If you aren’t particularly web-savvy or can be bothered to maintain a website, you can set up shop on a site like eBay or CafePress (for a fee). Otherwise, you can hire someone to design a website for you or even make your own.
    2. Make Money Online Step 17.jpg
      2
Create a virtual store. Believe it or not, vendors selling virtual items from within online games can make money in the real world. By creating an avatar of yourself and setting up shop, you can do business with other players (or even just advertise your real-world business). Of course, you must first find a game that allows it and pay to set it up, but once you’re in, you can reach a huge range of people in various age groups and locations around the world. MMORPGs (massive, multiplayer online role-playing games) are especially good places to do this.

Method 5 of 5: Pointers when Working Online

    1. Make Money Online Step 18.jpg
      1
Make a good first impression no matter which type of online endeavor you attempt. As with any business, your brand (web site, store, virtual portfolio etc.) must grab the prospects attention, enticing and encouraging him/her to learn more. A strong brand should include intelligently and insightfully written copy, a description of your offering, product overview, news and information and numerous opportunities to respond (call to action).
      • Differentiate your product/service from the competition. Consider what makes your business unique by focusing on the brand, the specific suite of services and how the product or service will solve the customer’s problem. Punctuate these differentiating factors in order to set your brand apart from the rest.
      • Maintain a friendly, approachable tone. You want to invite your customer to interact with you so be sure that while the copy on your site or portfolio should be informative, it should also communicate a friendly tone that will motivate communication and interaction with your customers.
      • Have a solid contract with your partner company. Enlist the assistance of an attorney or have a lawyer review your partner company’s contract so you know how you will be paid and the basis for payment (for example if it based on produced work, solid sales, sign ups, conversions, referrals, etc.).
      • Follow up with clients after an initial interaction. Because you haven’t had the benefit of face-to-face meeting, you will need to be proactive (but not a stalker) online. After an initial meeting with a client, send a thank you email a few days later to remind the client about your meeting. Open the floor to additional questions and let your prospective client know you are excited about the possibility of serving him/her.
    2. Make Money Online Step 19.jpg
      2
Optimize your skills and knowledge in order to create a strong online presence. Although you may be a talented salesperson or graphic designer, you may not know how those talents will translate online.
      • Take an search engine optimization course. Either online or possibly offered at your local community college, learning about search engine optimization (SEO) is an important component to a successful online career. SEO training will teach you how to position your brand or store higher on Google search engine rankings so your business is hit first when potential clients are performing a search.
      • Write a business plan. Even if the business plan will never leave your computer, creating a plan will give you specific direction and goals, which will help you stay on track and focused.
      • Consult with experts. If you have a friend or colleague who has had success making money online, tap into his/her knowledge and experience. Find out what has worked well or what he/she has tried that bombed. Extract as much knowledge and insight to help guide you in how you will create your online business.
    3. Make Money Online Step 20.jpg
      3
Make sure you have the dedication and focus to work independently. If you plan to make your online money making endeavor a success, you must have what it takes to manage your time and be dedicated to your craft.
      • Examine your financial needs. Do you need to make a large income or are you interested in making money online just to have some mad money? The level of required income will most likely dictate the amount of time and effort you’ll need to spend making your online business a success.
      • Evaluate the amount of time you can dedicate to your online business. Are you a stay-at-home mom with two small children and a demanding school and housekeeping schedule or are you single with no strings attached (or somewhere in between)? Identify the hours during the day you can commit to your business and compare those hours to the amount of money you need to make. Typically, especially with some businesses, the earlier months and years are considerably more time consuming, especially if you are building a client list.
      • Be honest about your work habits. Are you a self starter, motivated enough to stay on task and work without having a boss check on you, or are you easily distracted by the phone, kids or other environmental disturbances? Working online takes a tremendous amount of motivation and focus in order to reach your cash generating goals

40 easy ways to make money quickly

40 easy ways to make money quickly

On this page you’ll find all the best ways to make money in your spare time whilst at university based on our own experience. We’ll keep adding new ways to this page so go ahead and bookmark it. And please do share your own ideas in the comments!

Top ways to make money online and offline

    free bets from matched betting
    1. No-risk matched betting
      1. Hands down the quickest way to make a lot of money (well, without breaking the law). Lots of students have genuinely made £100s from this technique. It’s completely legal, risk free, tax free, and anyone can do it.

It works by taking advantage of free bets regularly offered by betting sites (such as PaddyPower.com) through ‘matching’ them at a betting exchange such as Betfair.com. Matched betting eliminates the risk (you are betting both for and against a certain outcome).
This leaves you being able to squeeze out the free bet, which can be as much as £200! Multiply this by how many betting sites there are and you can quite easily come away with a profit of a few hundred pounds.
Owen walks you through how to make your first £15 profit (using a real life example) in this gem of a guide to matched betting. If you know of any better way to make £30/hr sitting at home, please let us know!
      2. Online surveys

        Searching on a laptop
An increasingly popular way for students to make money is to fill out online surveys in their spare time. Research companies are always recruiting new members to answer surveys and test new products.
For a few minutes of form filling, you can make a couple of quid which is paid as cash or in rewards. You can make up to £3 for some surveys!
A few good ones to try are: Toluna, MySurvey, PanelBase, Valued Opinions, SurveyBods, Springboard, MyVoice, Global Test Market, Harris Poll, New Vista, Mingle, Mindmover, YouGov.
Also sign up for Swagbucks.com which rewards you for surveys as well as simply surfing the web, watching videos and playing games.
Update: See our new full guide to the best paid online surveys!
      3. Paid for searching the web

Interested in earning cash for doing what you already do online? This has to be one of the easiest methods of making money online without really any effort or change in your behavior.
This innovative idea by Qmee.com rewards you for searching in Google, Bing or Yahoo. You just install a simple add-on to your browser and when you conduct a search there may be a few sponsored results alongside your normal search.

      4. Mobile phone recycling

        Sell My Mobile

See how much you can get for your old mobile phone using our in-house mobile phone price comparison tool! Maybe ask your parents if they have any lying around too.
You can get some good money and help the environment by recycling mobile phones with certain companies listed on the comparison tool. Most phones are shipped off to Asia to be dismantled and we know of at least one student who received a £120 cheque in return.
      5. ‘Get Paid To’ sites

        swagbucks
Similar to making money from online surveys, GPT sites reward you in cash and vouchers for completing various offers or activities online.
The most popular sites today are Swagbucks.com, Bank of Offers, InboxPounds and PaidOffers.
Exciting update! We’ll soon be launching our own GPT service for our readers. Invites will be limited, please join our mailing list if you’re interested in hearing once it’s live:

      6. Place adverts on your car

      Uni Car Ads

If you have a car, start making it pay back!
Uni Car Ads are currently recruiting student drivers and will pay you £30 – £60 a month for having a temporary advert placed on your car.
For more information about what’s involved and how to apply click here and start earning.
    2. Write and publish a Kindle eBook

If students are good at anything, it’s researching and writing. With the Amazon Kindle store, anyone can publish an eBook and make money.
And the Kindle app is now available on almost any device (laptops, iPads, smartphones and yes, Kindles) so your global market is huge!
List your book for £1.49 – £6.99 and you earn 70% of the sale. Considering Amazon is the ultimate selling machine (and remember people are looking to spend), that is a fantastic deal.
      kindle ebooks
The key to success with eBooks is to create value, and write non-fiction. Simply bundling information you have researched and complied on a common problem (eg. ‘secrets’ to finding a job) and then presenting it in an easy to digest format (an eBook) justifies someone spending a few quid on it.
Another big tip is to have a great cover designed so it stands out, and once your book is live on the Kindle store (approval takes less than 48 hours) it’s really important to get some reviews so it shows up higher in results. Encourage readers to leave an honest review at the end of your book.
The best thing about this lucrative idea is that once you’ve invested the time (say 20 hours), you’ll earn a passive income for years to come! For a step-by-step guide to publishing and earning with eBooks, see “How to write a nonfiction eBook in 21 days“.
    3. Affiliate marketing

If you’ve got a good presence on social media or perhaps you even have a blog or website, you can start bringing in money immediately by promoting all sorts of companies, products, services and offers online.
      Affiliate Window logo
Sign up to an affiliate network such as Affiliate Window, check their offers blog or browse the merchant listings to find something you think your friends would be interested in, grab your affiliate link and share it. If someone buys (can be within up to 90 days) using your link you’ll make a nice commission.
To take it a step further, set up a website (read our guide) or a topical Facebook page and invite all your friends to join it and post your affiliate offers on there.
    4. Sell gigs on Fiverr

      Fiverr pranks

If you haven’t yet come across Fiverr, now is your time. It’s the world’s largest marketplace for people to make money selling small services (known as ‘gigs’).
What you offer could be absolutely anything, from writing and translating, designing logos, social media posting, playing pranks and teaching to creating music, voiceovers and short video clips for people all around the world!
The only caveat is that the price is always set at $5 (hence Fiverr..), but you can attach extra services to gigs for more money. Now whilst it might not seem like much, it can quickly add up and there are plenty of examples of people making a really good living from the site. The key is to get a system in place which minimises the time spent on each gig.
Either way, give it a go and sign up. If you’re not interested in selling, there’s SO much good stuff you can get done for yourself. Have a browse and get inspired!
    5. Competitions

Entering competitions of course comes with no guarantees, but there is a growing community of so-called ‘compers’ in the UK consistently making up to £50,000 a year through all sorts of competitions.
Types of competitions available to enter range from simple registration forms and Facebook page liking to answering questions correctly over the phone to being a TV game show contestant. Imagine you made it onto Deal or No Deal instead of just watching it!
Start by entering our very own monthly student competition (Like our Facebook page to see when our next one is)!
      competitions
Then head to our active competitions page to enter other free competitions that we have found. Just note that some of these sites may send you spam so use an alias email address and opt-out of as many of the offers as possible.
For loads more tips on achieving success and making money from competitions, read our guide to entering competitions.
    6. Claim tax back

Many students work part-time or during the summer months, and others will be on placements or paid internships. More often than not, if you are a student working during the year, you will be overpaying income tax.
Why? Simply because few students reach the personal tax-free income allowance each year but are put on an emergency basic tax-code by their employers meaning tax is being paid when it shouldn’t be.
Click to use the Tax refund calculator
Use our student tax-back service to help you reclaim any tax you should not have paid. Just enter your details in the calculator here to work out what you may be owed. Otherwise for more information read our guide on claiming tax back here.
    7. Get cashback when shopping

      Our Quidco Cashback
I earned this much in 2 years
This is not only a way to make money but also to save money as a student. If you look at it in a different way then you are making money with every purchase you would have made anyway, whether it be 10% or 0.5% cashback.
There are a number of cashback sites out there which pay you the commission they otherwise would have earned.
We recommend signing up with Quidco.com which is free and offer the best selection of retailers.
    8. A part-time job

      bar jobs
A part-time job is the obvious first choice, opted for by most students looking to supplement their student loan. It provides a pretty steady flow of income and can enable you to gain valuable work experience.
However, depending on where you live, jobs are not always easy to find. Check local classifieds, our student job search, student job websites and your university careers service for vacancies.
It’s also worth signing up with the Graduate Recruitment Bureau, a free service which will match you with both part-time jobs or graduate opportunities.
Read our guide to finding a part-time job whilst studying for more tips.
    9. Review music for money

      music review

If you love music, make it your business by reviewing unsigned bands and artists for cash. I know… we couldn’t believe it either.
It can take a while to build up your reputation but some users of the site have said that they have earned £40 a month. This may not sound like much but if it’s something you enjoy then it shouldn’t be hard work and is another thing for your CV. Money you earn will be in $US but anyone can sign up and review. To get started, head over to Slicethepie now or read our quick guide for more info.
    10. Sell second-hand course books

One great way to make money is to buy other students’ text books at the end of the year, and then sell them just after freshers’ week – when the new intake of students know that they need them!
You can either advertise on campus or list them online very easily on Amazon.co.uk Books Trade-In (just bear in mind they take a commission on books sold).
    11. Become an Amazon ‘Mechanical Turk’

Don’t ask us what this means, all we know is that it’s an easy way to make fast cash from your sofa. The concept is based on ‘internet crowd-sourcing’ where businesses advertise specific, scalable tasks they need completing quickly.
      mechanical turk
There are a variety of tasks (known as HITS), but most commonly they involve mindless data entry or form filling. You are rewarded in cash (though $USD) for the work you do, and you can choose for what and when you work. Give it a go.
    12. Start your own website

      mark zuckerberg facebook
If you’ve ever seen the film “The Social Network” then you’ve most likely had your brain spinning as to what website you can start-up to make you billions.
And of course there are lots of stories out there about successful students who have started a site while at university, or even bought a domain name and later sold it for 1000s.
In fact, Save the Student is one such example of a website started at university by Owen Burek in his first year, which has since grown into a full-time and successful enterprise.
Read Owen’s 4-step guide to setting up a website if you’re interested in finding out more. It’s really not that difficult to get started and there are plenty of opportunities to make money online.
    13. Financial support

      money on printing
Make sure you have applied for all relevant university grants and bursaries. There may be a few hundred quid in it!
It’s money that you don’t even have to pay back and a lot of students are eligible for a scholarship or bursary without even knowing it. Don’t miss out!
    14. Babysitting

      messy kid
Advertise your services locally. It’s a classic money-maker, and for good reason. You get paid (well) to watch TV and not very much else!
Be warned that you will need a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check to look after small children, even though some parents may not ask for one. If you are wondering what to charge, then look at local ads but you can expect to be paid over £6 hour even if you aren’t trained in child care. It really is easy money (unless you get stuck with the child from hell!).
    15. Be an extra

Do you fancy yourself as a budding young actor or just that person that walks past in the background shot of an episode of Eastenders? It could be you if you apply to be an extra.
The pay isn’t bad either – £60-80 a day on average, and you hardly have to do anything!
You can apply at Be On Screen for a number of opportunities or 2020 casting is another agency (just know they take a cut from your earnings).
    16. Sell all your old CDs, games and movies

      cds and dvds
If you are looking to make a very quick buck, then selling your old bits and bobs that are cluttering up your room is a good idea.
The best thing about it is that you can rip all the songs and films onto your laptop or external hard drive before selling them. This means that you are only really selling the plastic and artwork!
You can earn anything from 10p to £20 per item, and the earnings can really add up if you have a large collection. Whilst you’re at it, see if your parents have any ‘clutter’ they’d be happy to see the back of.
You can also sell almost anything for free on Amazon Trade-In or Preloved and sites like MusicMagpie will pay you instantly for sending in unwanted items.
For more tips and places to sell check out our guide on selling DVDs, CDs and games.
    17. Sell on your education!

Become a tutor to local GCSE or A-level students (find out more about tutoring here). There are now a few online tutor sites too, so you can go also global without too much hassle.
      graduate_student
You may feel as if you aren’t qualified to be a tutor, but seeing as you are at university you will most likely have the qualifications to tutor for GCSE or even A-Level. Some parents may feel that their child will react better to a younger tutor, and it can be great experience, so why not give it a go?
You can advertise on SchoolsTrader or sign up with Bright Young Things & UK Tutors. You can expect to earn around £10 an hour. However, make sure you don’t have to do too much tutoring around your exams!
    18. Sell your photos

If you think you’ve got a good shot and a little creativity, try uploading your photographs for free to stock websites. A good starting point is Fotolia or istockphoto.
Make more money selling photo subjects that people are demanding, and there’s a great resource to find this out here. It might be a good idea to test them out in print first yourself (get free photo prints here).
    19. Rent out your car parking space

      saving petrol and saving money
Some student accommodation comes with a drive or garage. If you aren’t using your parking space and you live in a busy area then you might be in luck. There are plenty of people that may work in the city centre and are fed up of paying through the roof for daily parking.
Advertise your space on Gumtree, Parklet or Park at My house.
Or, check out our full guide to renting out your parking space.
    20. Work as a charity collector

Ok so this job takes a certain kind of person, as you’ll have to take a lot of rejection and be persistent.
But if you are bubbly, personable and reckon you could sell ice to an Eskimo then this could actually be a great student money making idea. You get paid commission on new sign ups (typically around £20).
Have a look at Wesser as well as charity websites like Oxfam.
    21. Buy and sell domain names

      domain-for-sale

A domain name is just a website address (eg. ‘savethestudent.org’ or ‘mysite.co.uk’) and there are lots of extensions (.com, .net, .co.uk etc).
They cost as little as £1.99 to register with 123-reg.co.uk or GoDaddy.com yet premium domain names can fetch £1,000s if not millions when sold on. In 2007 VacationRentals.com went for a cool $35m!
Now you’re probably not going to come across anything like that, but you can still turn a quick profit with a bit of searching. The trick is to find available domain names which have some commercial value, snap them up and then list them for sale on a site like DomainLore.
    22. Become a freelance interviewer

Do you want to excel in an HR career? Do you love asking questions? Believe it or not a company will actually trust you to carry out interviews for them and pay you for your time. It couldn’t be simpler.
You could make £185 a week plus have your travelling costs covered. The downside is that you will have to commit to 20 hours at least a week so make sure that you have the time. Apply at NatCen.
    23. Mystery shopping

Be A Mystery Shopper, Its Easy!
Becoming a mystery shopper is easier than you think. You can get paid to spend money in shops, usually in the form of a voucher for the shop in question.
For more info on where to apply check out our guide to becoming a mystery shopper.
    24. Dog walking

Dog walking may sound trivial but it’s big business. Just think that as a student you’re likely to have free time during the day when others are out at work and worried about their pets at home.
You could make around £7 a dog for a 1 hour walk, and it’s also a great way to keep fit. Advertise your services locally with fliers or on classified websites such as Gumtree.
    25. Rent out your house for filming

      filmreel
Directors for TV and film are always on the hunt for houses to film in. For instance, a scene for Coronation Street was recently filmed in the student house one of the Save the Student editors used to live in!
Not only can you make good money but it’s crazy seeing your own place on TV. Start out by looking at film-locations.co.uk.
    26. Rent out your body

      student thinking
Ok, ok – this isn’t what you think. “Renting out your body” can go as far as you want it to go. For example we reported on a story a while back about students who are turning to lap dancing to make a quick buck.
If you are comfortable taking off your kit for a more acceptable cause then why not try life modelling. Sit there in the buff while budding artists capture your every curve (or pokey bits) in frightening detail! Try this website especially designed for these kind of jobs RAM.
You could also get involved in clinical drug trials. If this scares you a little then you can find more information here about what’s involved.
Warning: Do not do anything you are not comfortable with, no matter how desperate you are for money! There has been an unhealthy rise in student prostitution in recent years – do not fall victim to it!
    27. Freelance work

Perhaps you enjoy writing, managing Facebook pages or doing a little bit of graphic design in your spare time. There are so many freelance jobs out there that require simple skills or just time that someone else might not have.
And the best things about freelancing is that you can work for clients in the UK and around the world with just an internet connection from home, to your own hours whilst developing valuable skills.
A great place to start is with the leading freelance site Elance.com. Or try using our student job search to find freelance jobs.
    28. Busking

      Busking student
If you can sing or dance then this is your time to shine baby! Did you know that Justin Bieber started off busking? That’s right, with a little work you can be as annoying as him.
There are really no tips for this except choose a good spot with high footfall, make sure you are good and play your heart out. Some buskers in the past have been known to make upwards of £20 hour.
    29. Sell clothes on eBay

      ebay-logo

Everyone’s best friend when it comes to getting rid of junk is eBay. Online auctions are a sure-fire way to turn that sleeveless jacket (which came in and out of fashion in a week) into hard cash.
Some eBay sellers look at trends and try to predict what will be big ahead of the market. If you are good and don’t mind taking a risk then you can buy early in bulk and sell on when the craze hits.
For lots more tips on selling on eBay read this guide.
    30. Sell your stories and videos

If you have an interesting story then you could try selling it to the papers. It could be anything from sleeping with a professional footballer to getting caught in a clothes horse!
One of the Save the Student team was unfortunate enough to have a pigeon fly through and smash their window at university and sold the story to The Sun for a tidy £50.
You could also film your mates at all times and send it into You’ve Been Framed to net yourself £250 and a few seconds of fame.
    31. Sign up for psychology experiments

These are the things you may get to your student e-mail inbox from your university or careers service every now and then. They aren’t dangerous and usually don’t require too much effort or time. They tend to compensate you quite well (around £10/hour), and they may even interest you!
It’s worth bearing in mind that these are different from the medical or body experiments/horror stories that you hear about. There will (hopefully) be no strange probes involved!
    32. YouTube videos

      google-adsense-youtube-logo
According to recent stats we now watch more videos on YouTube than searches on Google. And with the recently introduced YouTube Partner Program you can now profit from making and uploading videos. You will receive a percentage of the advertising revenue collected per 1,000 views.
Depending on how successful you are (virality, subscriber base and topic) you can make a lot of money, and there are plenty of stories every week of more and more YouTubers making it their career.
For more tips read our guide to making money from YouTube.
    33. Network marketing

the business of the 21st century
Also known as Multi-Level Marketing (MLM), this is a business model that allows you to generate ongoing income in two ways: by making a commission selling products and by recruiting other members who go on to sell. The later allows you to make money from the sales made by those you have recruited.
Importantly, this is not a pyramid scheme (they are illegal) because there is an end goal which involves a customer buying a product or service of value.
It’s also not a ‘get rich quick’ scheme. You will have to work I’m afraid! However with the growth of social media, network marketing is becoming easier and lots of people are now making a decent living from it.
This is a serious way of making good money on your own terms and it’s well worth reading up on it. I recommend getting “The Business of the 21st Century” by Robert Kiyosaki.
    34. Source property for wealthy investors

      contents insurance
We all know how much money there is in property, but on the surface (with house prices as high as they are) you might be thinking this market is off-limits.
Truth is, lots of people make a great deal of cash simply sourcing suitable properties for wealthy investors who simply have no time.
The trick is to find properties below market value (BMV) by avoiding estate agents and instead flyering your area with your contact details offering to buy houses. Then approach investors with a no-brainer offer to pass on the details of cut-price property in exchange for a % of the sale value.
Most cities will have monthly networking events for landlords and property investors. Track these down, sign up, put on your best suit and go along with lots of business cards. Or you could start on LinkedIn or even Twitter to build some initial contacts.
As you might imagine, this isn’t necessarily a quick way to make money but once you’ve got a few investors in your phone book it can prove to be very lucrative in the long run. If you’re interested, I recommend reading this book.
    35. Advertise your other skills

      Coke Can art

What can you do well where others struggle? Fix bikes, computers, write articles, create websites, make cupcakes or fresh lemonade?!
The key is to be creative and think outside the box. A writer at Save the Student actually made small models out of beer cans and wire and sold them to other students. Great idea with big profits!
There are many other creative ways to make money as a student. With any luck you’ll be on the road to making millions! Please feel free to share your own ideas by leaving a comment below.
